Just played my first hockey game ever as a 40 something adult. I fell 4 times and was a little uncoordinated, but I did it! And my team was super supportive. And then my kid ate a gummy bear off the rink floor. 🤣 #hockeymom #rinkrats
Working on a washcloth while I watch the game The yarn is 100% cotton, the needles are KnitPicks and the pin says "Fat Cat Appreciation Club" It wasn't a pretty win, in face it was a tie that was called for time, but it was enough to let us sweep the series 3-0 Refereeing was absolutely atrocious A kid from the other team was kicked out for attacking my kid, and a teammate from the other team intentionally broke my kid's stick with a slash and only got 4 minutes (he should have been kicked out), and to top it off my kid got punched in the handshake lineup for a second game in a row So I don't feel bad about the anti-climactic win Thankfully, it's the end of the season, and hockey sticks will soon be on sale... My kid is absolutely a little shit disturber, but he's a good little player, so he's often targeted like this and this other team really has his number

Like he couldn't have told me a month ago it needs new velcro... This is the stuff I used for sheep coats so its really hard to sew through Add making dinner and his girlfriend is over.... Walking dogs, hoping I can finish and get a chance to eat before I need to get to the rink

Starting another dishcloth on the hour long drive to their 1st game of the championships Were here now and I've got a couple inches done My kiddos coach grabbed my attention since I'm sitting in the Jeep waiting for the game to start (This is a rural arena with very little lobby space) And offered to pay if I'd make him some I owe this guy a lot for being a male roll model in my youngests life, no way I'm charging him!! Just need go find a good colour cotton for his 🤔 (The two I was most recently working on are for my neighbours)
Benefits of the youngest having learned to be a good enough driver now I can relax enough to knit on the way to hockey 😄
