#Holzmaden is not far from where I live. I remember visiting the shale quarries with my gran. Now everything is fenced off. That Posidonia shale appears also not far from my house. Probably lots of fossils still in the ground - too expensive to prepare them all.

Here it's Jurassic and Keuper. The most famous finds are from the neighbourhood of a small village called #Holzmaden. My grandmother lived nearby, she had belemnites in her garden. And at seventeen I dreamed of becoming a geologist.

For me it was #belemnites in my grandmother's garden. Not far from #Holzmaden. Although I'm only an amateur.
