On #ThisDayInHistory in 1892, the #HomesteadStrike broke out in PA. Rather than talk, #Carnegie sent in #Pinkerton thugs, which the strikers defeated in battle on 6 July. So, the gov. sent in troops, killing seven workers and helping to break the #union.
