Some people with #POTS have #hypohidrosis (impaired sweating ability where you sweat very little) like me or #anhidrosis (no sweating at all), while others have #hyperhidrosis (sweating too much). Both hypohidrosis & anhidrosis can lead to heat stroke, while all 3 conditions affect quality of life.

In high temperatures #hypohidrosis can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke. My heart absolutely fucking breaks for all those who don't have air conditioning. I'm so damn thankful for my air conditioned apartment. #POTS

I was only out in the heat walking just a block to my destination & a block back, but the heat index is 100° F (38⁰ C) & I have #hypohidrosis, so my body doesn't cool itself down w/sweat. Today I didn't sweat a drop in this heat. It can be really fucking dangerous in the heat to not sweat. #POTS
