South Portland schools prepare for increased ICE presence The school system has issued policies addressing what to do if U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents show up on school ground.

South Portland braces for ICE:

There were 22 absences on Tuesday at Kaler Elementary School. Eighteen of those students are multilingual, according to Kate Murray, an educational tech.

“It’s a really scary time,” she said.
