🌊 Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend ICP15, where I spent an inspiring week full of science and meaningful exchanges.
Grateful to everyone who contributed to making ICP15 such a dynamic and engaging event.
#ICP15
#ICP15 thanks science organising committee members for helping co-convene sessions with an ECR in their theme as well as help with judging posters - @climatesamwell.bsky.social @carbon8.bsky.social Adina Paytan, @amoeba-lab.bsky.social Steve Barker, Tali Babila, Li Lo, Stephan Steinke 🙏🏼
What an incredibly fun time in India for #ICP15! All of the chats I last week have given such a burst of inspiration and energy. Between that and the safari, caving, and the invited talk at IISc… I’m so lucky to do what I do, and to do it with all of you!
Now, back to work.
Post ICP15 workshop at NCPOR, Goa. Advanced studies in seawater carbonate chemistry and Boron proxy. #ICP15 #Paleoceanography
Just back from the International Conference on Paleoceanography #ICP15 where shockingly, no one mentioned Joe Rogan’s groundbreaking discovery that Earth is in fact cooling.
Must’ve slipped past 500 climate scientists.

Was a real pleasure to be in Bengaluru 🇮🇳 to speak about monsoon 🌧️, so thanks #ICP15 for the invitation. This week was AMAZING - so many awesome talks 🤩 & great discussions, lovely time spent with old & new friends. Excited for the new collaborations to come and looking forward for #ICP16 !
Leaving #ICP15 feeling inspired and motivated. Special thanks to all the organizers for making this week possible. I had a blast learning from the star-studded list of speakers and learning about on-going projects.
Honoured to have received an Honourable Mention at #ICP15 in the Paleomonsoon/Monsoon session.
Grateful to my advisor @carbon8.bsky.social — this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without his constant guidance and support.
Wrapped up an inspiring week at #ICP15 🌊 It was a privilege to share my research and exchange ideas with such an incredible community of paleoceanographers. And also, thrilled to receive honourable mention for the poster.
Grateful to @arvindocean.bsky.social for the guidance 🌊 🌏
Finally a massive Thankyou to the team who organised the #ICP15 conference - especially the organisers Sambuddha @anandpallavijha.bsky.social @oscarbranson.bsky.social Adina Payton, Yama Dixie, Gert jan Reinhardt, Rajeev Saraswati, Waliur Rahaman, Manush Tiwari.
Final day of #ICP15 is all about novel proxies and approaches to paleoceanography. An interesting collection of talks by Martin Ziegler, Matt Osman, Lennart de Nooijer, Yi Wang on topics including clumped isotopes, biomineralisation, data assimilation, thallium isotopes.
One with the mentor without whom my PhD wouldn't be possible😅 #ICP15
I had a great time attending my first international conference at #ICP15 in Bengaluru. Lots of great people, presentations and food! I also had a chance to present my recent work on Indian sector productivity and iron fertilisation.
#ICP15 recognises #ECR posters through awarding best poster awards for each theme and other highly commendable prizes. Best poster award winners receive free ICP16 registration. Thank you. @mudwaterclimate.bsky.social note the names👇🏼
…and finally a call to establish a United Nations operated scientific ocean drillship #ICP15
…👍
We have unfortunately reached the final fantastic talk at #ICP15, Bengaluru
Stratigraphy is the Backbone of Palaeoceanography
…and a plea to continue the quest of scientific ocean drilling #IODP
Thomas Westerhold
Thomas Westerhold of @marumunibremen.bsky.social giving the last keynote at #ICP15 in Bangalore (India) right now
Day5, #ICP15 , final act is our perspective talk from Thomas Westerhold taking about the Time Machine : #Stratigraphy is the Backbone of #Palaeoceanography what a wonderful way to end the #ICP15 ☺️
Age (age model) before the beauty (proxy-records)
😀
Day5, #ICP15, panel discussion with speakers about what are the next challenges and rewards and where you wish the field to move! Chaired by Dave Evans @unisouthampton.bsky.social
Day 5, #ICP15 , final talk in today’s theme is by @Hana Jurikova @uniofstandrews.bsky.social on Taking Paleoceanography to Phanerozoic 🙏🏼
Excellent use of Baywatch material here by Matt Osman. #ICP15
The Last Interglacial Reanalysis (LIGR) at #ICP15
Cool stuff explained by Matt Osmam
Day 5, #ICP15 , second talk after the break Matt Osman @universitypress.cambridge.org talking about global scale model-proxy integration #icesheet #SST #airtemperature #Lastinterglacial #reanalysis🙏🏼
Day5, #ICP15 , next up after the morning break, Lenart De Nooijer @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social explaining Biomineralization in foraminifera: how do they do it and how does it affect application of proxies?
This session is convened by our #ECR volunteer Satya 🙏🏼
Things are heating up at #ICP15, with the excellent Martin Ziegler presenting a clumped isotope perspective on hothouse climates…
Day 5, #ICP15, we listen to Martin Ziegler @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social A clumped isotope perspective on hothouse climates 🙏🏼
Day 5, #ICP15, for the first talk we have Yi Wang talking about Tracking Global Ocean Oxygen with Thallium Isotopes
Our session convenors are David Evans and our ECR Satya Ilindra 🙏🏼
Today is the final day of #ICP15, but the science content continues…
We begin with a talk by Yi Wang on Tracking Global Oxygen with Thallium Isotopes
A week filled with science and discussions. From presenting my work to learning from incredible talks and interacting with experts, it was a great experience at ICP15 @IISc #ICP15
