2/of course curiosity took the better of me so I checked what the heck was #IINA (didn't remember installing it) and it turned out it's an awesome media player based on #mpv ( iina.io, github.com/iina/iina) which I was checking ages ago and forgot about it… this time around I played a bit more…

I haven't found anything better and "it just works". Options dialog is a bit weird but I'd say it's due to Qt/multiplatform nature… There is #IINA (github.com/iina/iina, based on #MPV) but I find #VLC way more convenient :)
