And this is why Scotland needs to regain independence to get back into the centre of Europe - Westminster can't be relied on.

Thanks to @thesnp.bsky.social and despite the chains of Westminster, Scotland still has twice as many public libraries as England and Wales (1 per 10,000 people) πŸ‘

It's not enough, but we need independence to fix that.

Today is #HumanRightsDay

So let's remember that self-determination is a basic human right and a fundamental freedom. That Westminster doesn't allow Scotland.

Thanks to @thesnp.bsky.social Scottish Water remains publicly owned and it doesn't pay dividends. Instead it invests in better infrastructure, cleaner water, and lower bills πŸ‘

The latest cost of Brexit is about to hit – and voters are watching. Will Labour act? | Polly Toynbee New EU trade regulations will cause further pain for the UK. Starmer’s talk of breaking down barriers must be more than warm words, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

Even πŸ₯€ Labour supporters are publicly saying it: Starmer "omitted repairing Brexit damage from his β€œgrowth” missions". Political strategy trumps leadership and vision.

Scotland needs independence to rejoin.

24% in Scotland - lowest in the UK but clearly not low enough. Only independence will give us the powers to deal with that.

Scotland is an energy rich country. With independence we can also be energy rich people.

Brexit doesn't work, and never will. But Westminster keeps flogging this dead horse because its political strategists believe its the only way to keep power.

Scotland needs Indy to fix this, not Labour's McSweeney.

Scotland is culturally close to Europe and the values the EU espouses. The European movement here is alive and kicking. But Westminster removed us from the EU and won't even discuss taking us back. That's down to us.

The sub-poll sample size for Scotland is tiny, but mostly shows we're more pro-EU than England, so no surprise there given all regions voted Remain and all polls show support has grown since.

Yet Westminster rules it out.

I'm not having a go at this poster, just using it as an example. People refer to "Brits" when they accurately mean "English". But try this: replace "British" with "English" every time and see how uncomfortable it feels. Now imagine you live in Scotland.

Of course for those of us who live in Scotland, experiencing huge British nationalist bias in BBC news and current affairs coverage is an everyday experience. QT is just a continuation of this.

The BBC in Scotland doesn't represent Scotland's people. It represents Westminster bias.

"you can't build a good society on injustice" is not a phrase Starmer uses.
