Turtle I used for reference had red irises and looked like it had a mild intent to kill. Mine on the other hand looks like it's seen more than one turtle should ever see in its lifetime and is currently trying to clear its mind of any thoughts in order to escape those memories ._. but regardless being someone who had turtles for most of their life, I stand by thinking they are some of the most vacant looking animals in the world.
