The full QC contingent at the hashtag#InnocenceConference (L-R): Taylor Migliori, Marissa Boyers Bluestine, and Chris Alrutz.
QC Assistant Director Marissa Boyers Bluestine moderated an excellent discussion on "when agreed-upon cases go haywire" with Tricia Rojo Bushnell (Midwest IP), Jason Gichner of Tennessee Innocence Project and Kelly Bauder of Marion County (IN) Conviction Integrity Unit.
QC Data Analyst Chris Alrutz spoke on navigating AI in the pursuit of justice with Blair Johnson of the Midwest Innocence Project.
The stage filled with the hundreds of exonerated individuals in attendance, who were incarcerated for more than 5,505 years before being cleared.
The QC team had an inspiring few days learning, sharing, and connecting at the Innocence Network conference in Seattle. We're grateful for this powerful community of exonerees, experts, and advocates all working for a more just system.

Love meeting every year with my freedom fighting friends around the world at the #InnocenceConference!
Roll call of Freed and Exonerated people.
One by one—each person's name/pic/time served appeared on the screen and they were celebrated as they made their way to the stage—powerful!

I love getting together with my friends doing innocence work in Latin America at the annual #InnocenceConference!
Today marked Day 1 of our #InnocenceConference in Seattle, bringing together exonerees, directly impacted people and advocates who work to free the innocent! From therapy dogs, tabling and sessions from sponsors like @relativity.com and @gofundme.com– community, care, & resistance were in the air.
Giving a champion of justice award to someone who is actively anti-trans is a very weird start to the #innocenceconference
Adam Carlin—28yrs Perry Lott—35yrs
Ron Shelman—33yrs
