J’avais hâte de voir la série #InvisibleBoys a plus d’un titre.
D’abord parce que c’est une série #queer et sur ce point, elle remplit toutes ses promesses. Ensuite parce que tournée à Geraldton, ville du Western Australia, et que j’y ai été plusieurs fois 🥰
Et je n’ai pas été déçu. 1/2
Et cette mise en scène simple, sans effets tape-à-l’œil, offre une certaine poésie à la série. C'est une véritable ode à tous ceux qui vivent dans l’ombre, marginaux ou invisibilisés, qui cherchent juste à être vus, entendus, aimés #InvisibleBoys
La photographie est absolument parfaite : la lumière crue de l’Australie Occidentale, les espaces vastes et étrangement oppressants, tout contribue à magnifier la vulnérabilité de ces adolescents queer invisibles.

J'ai fini récemment #InvisibleBoys et j’ai rarement ressenti une telle sincérité à l’écran. Chaque personnage est écrit et incarné avec une justesse rare : leurs failles, leurs désirs, leurs silences deviennent palpables.
Enfin, #InvisibleBoys sort en français.

Holden Sheppard’s Invisible Boys hits hard, but in the best way. It's raw, emotional, and painfully real. I felt for every one of those boys. If you’ve ever felt invisible, this one’s for you.
