U.S. Airstrike Destroys Multiple Iranian Military Aircraft at Shiraz Air Base
Aviation News – Several aircraft of the Iran Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) were reportedly destroyed in a U.S. airstrike at Shahid Dastgheib International Airport in Shiraz, Iran, a dual-use facility that also hosts a military air base. The strike targeted aircraft parked inside a hangar, marking a significant blow to Iranian airlift and tactical aviation assets. According to initial reports, the attack destroyed five IRIAF aircraft, including one Il-76 strategic transport, two C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, and two Su-22 fighter-bombers.
