Iranian singer Mehdi Yarrahi was subjected to 74 lashes over a protest song criticizing Iran's discriminatory mandatory dress code for women.Yarrahi was arrested in August 2023 after releasing a song opposing the compulsory veiling imposed on women in Iran.
