A dirt path shows the way through forest of Oregon oak trees. The ground is covered in long, green grass and a few purple camas lilies poke out of the grass. The oak trees still look winter-bare, but they are getting little leaf buds. The oak in the left foreground has dry moss covering one side. This is about 5 centimeters wide of a fallen stick in the grass. The center is covered in a white rim-disc lichen with disc shaped growths that have sort of light yellow-orange centers, kind of like creamsicle color. There’s a dead, brown leaf in the left of the stick, and a combination of deep green liverworts and mosses growing from the right and top sides of the stick. Tiny dew drops hang from the tips of the grass blades in the lower left corner.
