Joint subcommittee studying even-year elections meets for first time A legislative subcommittee is trying to figure out what it would look like to consolidate Virginia elections to just even years.

Some Virginia state legislators are looking at consolidating elections to even years, which would both reduce taxpayer costs AND drastically improve voter turnout for state and local elections!
