i feel a real gratitude for his art.

but now i also feel a wish. i wish for a chance to tell him about fat politics.

i am so sad about this.

i'm a longtime #JJHO listener. i've listened to almost every episode, many twice. i've seen his politics shift and grow over the years, always for the better.

i want to think john hodgman could understand fat politics if he had access to it.

This week’s #jjho is the most recent DC live show and you can most certainly hear my big dumb laugh from where I was sitting in the front row. It was a favorite night of mine, one where I felt warmth beaming out of the hosts and guests and suffusing us all with conviviality.

Omg, this mailman on this week’s #jjho is the perfect guest- just the right combo of maddeningly intractable and precious gem of a human being.

This episode of #jjho discussing the specificity of the NOLA accent is a DELIGHT. Even growing up in Louisiana, the peculiarities of the New Orleans accent compared with the rest of the state fascinated me.

I haven’t finished it yet, but this week’s #jjho is driving me BATTY in that they keep talking about wacky settings of Shakespeare without ever mentioning the importance of tying those choices to actual textual justifications.
