Been exploring Java Platform Module System (JPMS) from Java 9. Finally, the modularity Java was missing! Class access modifiers aren't enough for hiding internals. Wanted to use it in our enterprise app but hit framework issues, hence Spring Modulith. What's your JPMS experience? #Java #JPMS
Similar to what @cowtowncoder.bsky.social was facing with #JPMS in Jackson as well... with the new baseline in the ecosystem targeting Java 17, I guess everyone will face the same growing pains...
#JPMS In-module testing and Windows.
What could possibly go wrong?
Had a hackaton in Prague with #timefold this week. 🤩
Worked on:
- #jpms, checking if it could work and adds enough value.
- #graal benchmarking with Profile Guided Optimizations (PGO), blog hopefully soon
- a bunch of #llm experiments, local and remote.
Feeling reinvigorated AND tired 😅
📢 #jMolecules 2023.2 and 2025.0 RC1 released! The former fixes #Hexagonal architecture verification and annotation improvements. The latter #JPMS module descriptors and a baseline upgrade to Java 17. Grab 'em while they're hot! 🔥☕️⚗️
