Found this in the Brooklyn Eagle on Oct. 7, 1947 — #JackieRobinson to star in a movie called “Courage.” Could not find anything else about this. “The Jackie Robinson Story” did not come out until 1950.
Jackie Robinson, Carly Simon didn't just cross paths, they were like family

All the players on both teams are wearing #42 on their jerseys tonight in honor of Jackie Robinson Day 💓 His story is always so inspiring to me. Happy to see all the love on the field. ⚾🧢💓 #JackieRobinson
Saw Tork in 42 and for about 12 seconds was wondering why he changed his number.
Then I remembered what day it was.
Respect to Jackie Robinson, one of the mentally toughest athletes ever, and he could really play the game too.

We were at the first #JackieRobinson day, at Shea Stadium. A great day. Bill Clinton spoke. Can you imagine the unholy mess this prick we have in the White House now would have made of it? Jesus!

79 years ago today, on #April15th1947, (the same EXACT Day my Father was born) #JackieRobinson broke the @MLB color barrier. Few human beings can EVER say that they made the world a better place for them having been in it. He did! May his memory be a blessing! 🙏 #PlayBall 🧢🏏⚾️
