Tuff Turf (1985) What was that??? I’ve honestly no idea. It was tonally all over the place & didn’t seem to know what genre it was. It was like a failed mash-up of Rebel Without A Cause, Grease, The Outsiders, West Side Story, and a whole bunch of John Hughes movies

FINALLY, a good-terrible Spader film - it was proper classic 90s corrupt-a-yuppie thriller and I enjoyed every silly minute. I’m not that fussed for Rob Lowe, but he was a decent corrupter and Spader played his meek mark perfectly

Dream Lover (1994). My god, Spader (& his hair) is perfection in this film. I have a soft spot for trashy 90s erotic thrillers but it’s not a great script (what is with the daft circus dream sequences?) But the two leads make it worth the watch (I love Mädchen Amick)
