It was a sinister question. As they set aside the diapers I'd stashed away, I could see the answer in their face - their answer, not mine. But I'd witnessed enough of their adulthood, experienced enough of their unhappiness as it overflowed onto me.

Just thinking about whether people would have the same response to inductions if they didn't have an idea of what hypnosis looks like, whether it was being done for them, etc. It def seems stronger because we have these depictions and ideas of responses

Playing Twister with a few of your friends. One sat out to spin the wheel and give everyone the instructions for their turn, his honeyed voice always nice to listen to.
Many turns in, and with the three players tangled together, he pauses for a moment.

Easing awake in the middle of the night, your awareness gradually settles. Snores rumbled from beside you as your partner's chest heaved deep breaths in and out. You moved closer, snuggling up to them and laying your hand against the side of their diaper.

You're walking home with a friend when you pass by the daycare. You're distracted when your friend splashes water on your pants.
"Hey! What was that for?!"
They run down the sidewalk, laughing, but you were too tired to give chase. It looked like you peed.
"Something wrong, dear?"

There was never enough time in the day, too many things to get done and too many things you wanted to try! So you cloned yourself a couple times, figuring they could report back to you with findings and be satisfied.
That was some weeks ago.

Drama Club this week had everyone doing a mirror exercise. You rolled your eyes when you were paired up with the student who wears diapers. The two of you started by moving your hands in the air, playing along to try and sync to each other's decisions the best you could.

Typing game that starts out with normal words & sentences. It really pulls you in with its vfx as you clear areas. Over time, it introduces more and more embarrassing things to type, in 1st-person.
"I need to pee"
"I can't hold it"
You pause the game and run off to go potty.

"Lately, I feel like I haven't made a single decision for myself."
"You always were very obedient. I swear, it was like Dad said 'get potty trained' and you just stopped using diapers," you heard a snap over the phone, "just like that."

"Don't knock it til you've tried it"
A month in diapers later, you remembered how that phrase from a friend kicked all of this off. After many brief stints in diapers, 24/7 hadn't been as different as you might expect.
A caregiver lays me on the restroom counter to change my utterly soaked diaper before a dance battle. Noticing the glances as other dancers pass by to use the potties, I remark, "You know what they say - dress fresh, dance fresh!"
Stifled chuckles emanate from the stalls.
