Sad to have to come to end of #JaneGardam 's #OldFilth trilogy this week, on my Lossiemouth holiday. I've loved every single character and every minute of reading these books. As someone who's a wistful old sausage, it's really been my bag ❤️ #holidayreading

I was sorry to hear of the passing of mighty Jane Gardam. I've loved her books. If you haven’t read the Old Filth trilogy, you’re in for rare a treat. Line to line never a false note, and she had such a wondrous, unflinching view of character. Rip, great writer.
