In September 1980 #JanVanDeinsen played one game for #Netherlands, the Word Cup qualifier against Ireland at #LansdowneRoad. His teammate #SimonTahamata was another youth player from Theole.

Easter 1970 #JanvanDeinsen in action for the first team of Theole. At the age of 16 years he scores the only goal in this game.

Later he played professional football for NEC Nijmegen, Go Ahead Eagles and Feyenoord.
