A blue heron with a fresh meal, sitting at the base of a coarse rapids. The river narrows between the cliffs on either side, creating a prime hunting spot for this heron.
This is one of my favorite shots... The rushing water, the light on the white capped rapids and the cliffs, the freshly caught fish in the heron's mouth. I sat patiently hoping for a moment, but mostly just got lucky!
