A mixed bag, but worth the entrance fee for Sheraton Gibson and Parvardigar, and an understated but emotional rendition of Time Is Passing. Parvardigar is a great track I never get tired of.

Ok, continuing #JonsCookingMusic with something quite special. I thought I’d missed out on the vinyl for this, but #AwesomeTapesFromAfrica did another batch and I snapped one up. The 1977 release goes for £3000+ (!!) but this pressing is really good!

The new album from Manic Street Preachers called Critical Thinking. The album cover is greyscale and shows a street in Wales of terraced houses. The band name and hype sticker are in a shade of blue. The LP title is in black. On top of the record is the CD of the same album with a different cover, a road winding away into the distance. And next to that is a square image (same image as the CD cover) which has been signed by the band.
Bit early for #JonsCookingMusic but when it isn’t, and I am, it will be this.
