This was meant to be #JuneJubilations #Day30 Just realised I forgot to use the hashtags, on the last day of the month.
Today I bought a 24/25 diary. It starts on Monday (1st July). I realised when we got home that it’s a different format from last year’s one, necessitating a different system. My daughter has made a start transferring things over. I’m looking forward to doing more tomorrow #JuneJubilations #Day29
Today was my penultimate couch to 5K run, and due to needing to go to the post office, I ran round a different park from the one I normally run in. It was a nice change #JuneJubilations #Day28 I hope to have news soon of my #cto5k completion (for the umpteenth time!)
Today I popped over to my parents’ and back, just for a couple of hours. Had some lunch, did some pruning and chatting. It was nice #JuneJubilations #Day27:.
Today I attended the last of 3 1/2 day internal training sessions, on an important topic, organised for our library. It’s been great to spend time learning with colleagues in other teams, many of whom I don’t work with on a daily basis (but probably should & will more often). #JuneJubilations #Day26
Today I was teaching systematic literature review for two lots of two hours. While I ran out of time, and became too deviated by questions, they generally went well. Looking forward to doing more and building on it next time #JuneJubilations #Day25
Tonight we have had our back doors open all evening. A bit of a breeze is helpful. #JuneJubilations
I was glad to be with family today Food and drink and a walk round the park #JuneJubilations #Day23
Not really doing a #JuneJubilations #Day22 as there’re people I care about dealing with a lot and it doesn’t feel right to be thinking of things to celebrate. (I am ok - really)
I’ve had so many moments that could be my #JuneJubilations today-it’s been a good day. I think the reason I can’t pick is that all the contenders are really other people’s (my family & friends’) things, & so not right to share. I will probably look back at this one day & wonder what I meant! #Day21
Today I met, at a station in London, with someone for lunch who I had never met before (we did arrange the meeting). Wonderful to immediately feel I was talking with a friend (unsurprisingly considering the shared interests that led to the meeting) #JuneJubilations #Day20
Tonight we made homemade pizza, and ate it all between the four of us. We used to do this really regularly when the children were younger, but haven’t for years. It was fun - so pleased to have done it #JuneJubilations #Day19
This morning a cyclist passed me in the street. His phone fell out of his pocket & he didn’t notice, riding on. Cue me running along the road shouting ‘Man on a bike, you’ve dropped your phone’ until he heard me. #JuneJubilations #Day18 that I was there & saw it before a bus came along & squashed it
Today I’ve been on leave, having not realised until late last night that I’d booked leave for today. I haven’t done anything major, but I haven’t worked and have done myself some good, reading (including listening to a whole audiobook), running, puzzling and watching #JuneJubilations #Day17
I have made good progress on both my books today (print and audio - still no kindle), both of which I’ve been enjoying immensely. I’ve done a bit of professional development work, but haven’t been tempted into doing loads on a Sunday #JuneJubilations #Day16
Tonight we played Wealth of Nations, a game I’ve never played before. Ethical consideration needed but enjoyable to play together. Went from not knowing what we were doing to our moves becoming instinctive. Liked having a syndicate when some were losing-kept it interesting! #JuneJubilations #Day15
I have been for a run two days in a row (having also run last weekend). I’m getting more and more back in the habit now. Hoping it lasts. #JuneJubilations #Day14
Today I discussed my new research idea. And had feedback about the value of the idea, encouragement to focus and to look at funding opportunities, and also ideas to consider that I hadn’t previously. This is exciting. I really hope I manage to make something of it. #JuneJubilations #Day13
Tonight, we have been listening to the audiobook of The Hitch-hiker’s guide to the galaxy (having read the print book a few years ago. It is very funny. #JuneJubilations #Day12
Today I went to an event that I also attended at this time last year. I remember that was my first time out of the house after doing my back in about a week before. I was walking slowly, and then had to stand to watch children sing. #JuneJubilations for being able to move with ease now! #Day10
Today, rather than usually Friday night family viewing, we watched the election debate (I do seem to be able to cope with politics again, if not actually getting involved more than voting, and mentioning my opinions when asked), as one child is away and the other was occupied. #JuneJubilations #Day7
Today (well, yesterday - just!) I finished working in the middle of the day and finally had a chance to go to the shops. Of most excitement is that I can make and drink sparkling water again due to having bought gas canisters #JuneJubilations #Day6
Today I have had multiple valuable socialising. An #IamAurora alumni gathering at work, with lots of plans for the future. Then an evening with a friend in London. Lovely old pub, walk through interesting streets, and dinner in an unexpected find, which we will return to #JuneJubilations #Day4
Today I had a project meeting at which we made lots of decisions-feels so good to make this important progress. Just need to do my actions from the meeting… these aren’t actually difficult, but are several hours work, which I just don’t have, today or tomorrow. Soon though #JuneJubilations #Day3
Today we had a family gathering at which 25 people from 7 households all managed to meet up, for the first time in years. I can’t believe we all actually made it. And got a group photo with everyone in it and in which we all look good. #JuneJubilations #Day2
Today I went with friends to see #mammamiatheparty Yummy food, good entertainment and great company - such a treat. Then home for an evening with my family, including a guest. Wonderful conversation and food I had mostly prepared yesterday. #JuneJubilations #Day1
I think I will go with this one. I was umming a bit as it feels too positive after my last couple of months of adjectives that don’t have to be positive. But if I really want to reflect on something negative there’s nothing stopping me having that as a #JuneJubilations
