a child playing on the ground in Kabwe, Zambia, with the text "How can children in Kabwe have the right to play when the ground is contaminated with lead?" superimposed on top.
It's #InternationalDayOfPlay, celebrating every child's right to play, so essential to their development and wellbeing

Your Sunday evening read - this indepth NPR piece into the lead pollution in Kabwe #JusticeForKabwe
... says it is a fair question to ask about legacy & reputation/legal case.
Response is that "we are not responsible for situation in #Kabwe", therefore apparently we "do not have the moral responsibility" (despite extensive profits).
#AngloAmericanAGM #JusticeforKabwe
... but not by Anglo obviously. ("Current industrial activity" is exacerbating the situation & others have caused this - accuses law firms involved of bad motives).
Plenty of sympathy but a denial of historical legacy involving #AngloAmerican
#AngloAmericanAGM #JusticeforKabwe
At #AngloAmericanAGM Lydia from Kabwe, Zambia, raises the historic issues of lead poisoning involving Anglo & why the company is contesting class action over their court case
Again the company notes it has left, acknowledges it is a real issue & something needs to be done ...
