kageki (he/him, male miqo'te in the middle) and sumire (she/they, midlander top and bottom). kageki looks on, but it is hard to tell what he's feeling - caught somewhere between horror and awe. in his lap and under his hands is a version of sumire, semi-transparent and seemingly in a troubled sleep. behind him, there is another vision of her, hand reaching around to cradle his face. the sumire behind him is unreadable - no one knows how she feels. perhaps she wants kageki to turn towards her. perhaps she wants him to abandon the fading self. maybe he wants to.
