Mom looked at her mug and then me and said, “Cafe Jack.”

“Yes. Did you know Cafe Jack is run by Valdora Grayson?”

“Is that me?”

“No, but she is a lot like you. Her maiden name is ‘Baysklef.’ It’s a fey name.”

“You mean like ‘Veldora Fey?’”

“No, not exactly. But similar.”

Was looking for a spare USB Mac keyboard for my 2014 MacMini in the basement (found my Dad’s old Lime green iMac keyboard—it works!) and stumbled on a #SecondLife #Kahruvel To Do list I made just prior to my Archeoexpo 2011 event.

So many treasure memories in my basement.

This tickled me: Salazar Jack forwarded me a message from Pygar Bu recently in which he’d made note of a Destinations entry he’d crafted for the Forest of #Kahruvel. Bless.

It’s been difficult visiting inworld the past few years while caring for my folks. #SecondLife

An early screenshot of the Forest of Kahruvel at night during a lightning storm. The stone ruins of an ancient aqueduct span a deep ravine between two steep ridges. The stones in the middle of the aqueduct have collapsed to the forest floor.

A more recent screenshot of the Forest of Kahruvel in late afternoon showing the location of the old stone aqueduct ruins now gone and replaced by scaffolding that mimics the original stone structure. Below the scaffolding is a bright red metal shipping container.

The bridge down the road is being replaced.

I referred to it as “First Bridge” in my old Twitter #DnDFitness journey. Uncanny how it looks like my #Kahruvel aqueduct now, which started as stone ruins & was rebuilt as scaffolding.

First life imitating #SecondLife.

I am my mom’s companion and caretaker 24/7 at this moment in time. Much I’d been doing, including nurturing a 20+ year, ongoing, collaborative narrative in #SecondLife about the Forest of #Kahruvel, seems frozen in time. Feels good to crossover into SL occasionally and see others carrying the torch.
