Saw, courtesy of nearby #ChelseaTheater arthouse, 2 more by #China filmmaker #BiGan, so now I ve seen all 3 of his features. My favorite is debut #KailiBlues where the trademark, a beautifully choreographed and timed #LongTake lasting 40 mins or more, takes us all thru a remote mountain village

16"26 #KailiBlues going backwards & watching Bi Gan's output is surreal. He has such control in the craft of making these narratives feel totally real & lived in. Its a straightforward plot but a wild journey. Solid direction with this real ensemble coming & going with ease.
