rock turns around "... what?" "hm?" "what're you staring at me for?" "oh, nothing. I didn't mean to stare."
rock walks away, muttering, "whatever..." while kain watches, showing an evil little smile. in the second panel, his smile has dropped and he looks up to the side, thinking, "how strange."
continuing his earlier train of thought, kain concludes, "he doesn't look like you at all." it is revealed that he is staring up at a portrait of marie heinlein. kain and rock are small in the foreground in comparison to the portrait, and rock walks to the right of the page while staring straight ahead. marie is staring in the opposite direction, to the left (as does her portrait in motw).
since it's maybe confirmed that kain actually cares about marie I went ahead and made this...
