Developers said today they are interested in building communities, not just homes. Their planned #KarmanLine development will provide a master-planned community in an area of the county that does not currently have them, they said.

"No annexation!" The #KarmanLine annexation opposition group chants on the steps of #ColoradoSprings City Hall ahead of the regular council meeting start this a.m.

The #ColoradoSprings City Council will make its second and final vote on the annexation today. On Jan. 14, council voted first to approve the #KarmanLine annexation.

Those in opposition to the so-called #KarmanLine #annexation are concerned it is not a "logical" extension of city boundaries or development. They're concerned about water availability, public services and the cost to build and maintain new utilities infrastructure to serve the new development.
