The villain team is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ. Kang Ki Young is coming in hot in this new-to-him role, and Kim Hieora is delicious as the team villainess. And Kim Hyun-Wook is completely unrecognizable from #KillHeel in his 2nd supporting role to date. #TheUncannyCounter2
#KillHeel is slow-moving tho highly watchable due to workplace shenanigans & skilled acting. Twists sprinkled throughout, some surprising, others not so much. Characters' emotional heft show up in later episodes. Not all storylines end clearly. Middle-aged women tropes present.
For weeks, I've been calling #KillHeel a slice-of-life makjang.
I have a suspicion that no one is going to end up happy in this show. #KillHeel
There is nothing redeeming about her character whatsoever. But the way she flipped out in Hungarian after she hung up the phone was killer. (The actress actually grew up in Hungary while her mom studied classical singing at Franz Liszt Academy of Music.)_ #killheelep9 #killheel
There might be some concern bc of the older women that this drama might have affairs/divorce. #KillHeel has aired 6/14 episodes, and so far none seen. Could some have been done in the past? Yes. Are there lots of candidates ripe for either one in the future? Yes. #KillHeel
I also want to add that the punches of humor are seriously LOL because they get delivered against the backdrop of serious drama. #KillHeel
#KillHeel is more drama than makjang so the delivery may be slower to get to the twists. However, the characters are far richer & delivered w/more nuance & complexity. People & their motives aren't easy to figure out. They're a good example of "still waters run deep."
I see #KillHeel isn't well-watched, here or ratings. And I can't say I'm "oh, it's Kill Heel Day!" when its viewing day. But when it's on, I can't stop watching it. However snippy and catty the women are, the behavior's not unheard of, but show has enough to jaw drop at twists.
My man did not get a booty call; he got a booty text!

The way these two look at her, with their puppy dog eyes, will be my undoing.

Kim Jae Cheol is the perfect CEO on #KillHeel, with charm and looks and just the right amount of sleeze. Why can't he be in more CEO roles than you-know-who?
2 episodes in, and I'm finding #KillHeel a captivating show. The workplace dynamics & the womens' personal issues are really fascinating to see in play. I can't say that a lot of this behavior is new (if you know, you know) but it's still a fun spicy watch that has my attention.
As someone who lives in an area known for passive aggressiveness, I'll admit that I find the women of #KillHeel refreshing. They confront backstabbing, gossip & snippiness head on, like it's normal! Not so much being strong, but rather the basic right to stand up for oneself.
They're not joking on the shoe theme in this drama. There's plenty of camera shots on shoes, whether they're being carried, left at the doorstep, or walked to their next battle. #KillHeel
For those people seeking dramas featuring older characters (and by extension older actors and actresses) #KillHeel might fit the bill. Set within the competitive power struggles of TV home shopping hosts, this drama's lead female actresses are 43, 55 and 59.
