Watching SINNERS again. The big central musical sequence *alone* is the best picture of the year and should win every major award, never mind the other fantastic two hours and change. This flick taking it all should be a forgone conclusion...

Spoilers abound in this thread but this was one of my favorite elements in the movie. In lesser hands the vamps woulda been vain bourgeoisie or even the klan (tho they’re portrayed as a different type of vamp), but Coogler as always brings nuance to the big table...
