Remembering my dad Capt Gerald Strong on #VEday. He joined in Sept 1939 as an AA gunner with the #KingsRegiment #RoyalArtillery defending #Liverpool in the blitz. Then served as a legal officer in N Africa. He talked about the war *a lot* but never glorified it.
