Thoroughly enjoyed #DemonCopperhead - transporting the Social Realism of Dickens from the workhouses of London to the opium mills of Appalachia. So glad #Kingsolver is using the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in this #epidemic with both direct action and education. Bravo

The first two chapters were some of the most gut wrenching I've ever read, but I ended up rooting for the loveable key characters. This book is a wonderful blend of family drama, history, architecture & the natural world. I really enjoyed this one.

Finished the book this #madrugal. Having grown up with my childhood spent alternately between urban NYC and rural VT, the book hit me pretty hard. Demon's being drawn to the sea was a magic wrinkle. The book hits even harder than #RequiemForADream. But #Kingsolver is a whole lot gentler than #Selby.
