The Kirby Canon can potentially take drastically different directions depending solely on whether Nightmare's Deadly Sin is Wrath or Greed. Crash Kirby annihilates the Destroya in Air-Ride-In-Style, and Nightmare is left with a choice. A choice which decides which direction the Kirby timeline heads in. On one path, Nightmare prioritizes killing Kirby and destroying Cappy Town. This leads to Cappy Town Down, and the anime's finale. Alternatively, Nightmare prioritizes Dedede's debt, cuz he owes NME hella cash, causing Dedede to lock in for the first time in his life. This leads to Kirby's Adventure, and the main game canon.
It is my belief that the Kirby anime happens in the game timeline, but the Kirby Canon can potentially take drastically different directions, and it's all up to whether Nightmare decides he values money more than vengeance.
