Photography. A color photograph of abandoned old houses on an island in the Russian Arctic, where polar bears have now moved in and are living. Two old, staggered buildings are home to two large white polar bears. The head of one polar bear sticks out of a window, while another stands on the staircase and looks in our direction. There is old wood in front of the buildings and everything looks very bleak. Almost like an oil painting. Info: The photo is part of a series. Other photos show that four polar bears already live there and that the area is littered with old oil drums. All photos can be seen in the Natural History Museum in London.
