Variations in design and construction, particularly in the ratio of the top to the skirt, as well as the collar and sleeves, reflect different periods and styles.

A jeogori (저고리) is the basic upper garment of the traditional Korean attire, hanbok. Both men and women wear it, with men often pairing it with baji (trousers) and women with chima (skirts). The jeogori typically covers the arms and upper body and features long sleeves and a left-over-right closure tied with a single ribbon.
