Added some thin brass wire to detail the legs a bit more. I also had some 1:35 scale tank parts so I’m incorporating those to make it a long range variant. The smoke dischargers are from the 1:35 Nutcracker kit. #maschinenkrieger #sf3d #kowyokoyama

My favorite part of painting Ma.K kits, the “ugly duckling” phase! I’m using Vallejo Desert Yellow, thinned with the matching paint retarder and water. I’ll initially hand paint the base colors before going back in with the airbrush to tighten up the finish. #maschinenkrieger #sf3d #kowyokoyama #sf

For the heavy dust effect I used actual dust from rocks outside, sifted, and then mixed with a few drops of glaze medium, matte varnish, and water.
Fun experiment.

Fireball SG built and ready for painting this spring. Wanted to keep this variant on the sleeker side so no weld beads. Replaced the flimsy plastic antenna with piano wire and added feet cables. The rest of the kit is stock out of box.

I got my MK44 painted, and decal-ed. It’s been sitting in the drying booth since I applied a filter of burnt umber, cameo brown, and cafe thinned with turpenoid odorless. I’ve applied a very generous matte coat and will finish off the weathering from here.

I remember seeing a copy of #SF3DOriginal at the local game stores as a kid, utterly fascinated but equally skint, so I had to wait until later in life to shell out #Ebay bucks to get my hands on one. As a game, it's somewhat underwhelming, but as a #KowYokoyama artifact, it is beyond unique.

Zimmerit coating on the MK44 hover slippers. Terracotta milliput rolled into a sheet and applied in a random fashion. I used the trumpeter zimmerit tools and made things very quick and easy. #maschinenkrieger #robotbattleV #kowyokoyama
