A comic featuring my ocs, Krieg and Hale, as well as other party member characters. In the first, Octavel (a middle-aged Elezen man with brown hair) is kneeling in front of Leodaire (young ginger Hyuran man) and Vallerin (young dark haired Elezen man). They appear to be holding a plank form during this part of their training session. Leo: Damn, Rin. You're struggling already? You'd do well to start bracing yourself lest I win! Rin, straining: Who - ...who said something about winning?! This is... torture... we all lose with this... Octavel: I don't think you have the history to be talking so big, Leo. And with Oak here, I doubt you'll be "winning" at a strength exercise anytime soon.

The angle shifts to now show that Hale (a large Roegadyn man with pale blonde hair) is in line with the other two, performing a plank as well. His necklace to Nophica hangs low off his neck. Leo: Ha... full confident am I that I'll outlast him! The trick however - and Rin, listen up - the trick is making sure I'm prepared when he collapses and shakes the base! Hale, with his eyes closed in concentration, smiles and laughs: Y'such a bastard. I hope if that happens, th'tremble is so strong it makes y'fall flat on y'face and busts that cocky smile right off. Leo: I'd still win! The ladies of all classes love a man with bumps and scars! I'll say I... felled a great Behemoth!

The scene zooms out to show them all in line inside the base training grounds. In the distance, another party of knights stand to receive orders. Next to them, Krieg stands with two chirurgeons, a mentor and her apprentice. Krieg's attention seems to suddenly be grabbed by the workout happening nearby. Octavel: Alright, alright, enough messing around you two! Rin, you're doing great but check your foot position.

Krieg, thinking to himself: Thank the High Seraph for the blessed sight before me... I have never wanted to be a necklace more than I do now. In the second panel, A zoom in of Hale's chest. His head is hung low slightly as he takes steadying breaths, his necklace hanging from his neck and swaying slightly with each exhale.

A comic involving my ocs, Krieg and Hale, set years ago when they still fought during the Dragonsong War. At the turn of seasons, as Spring begins to creep its way out of Winter, a large group consisting of soldiers from various Ishgardian houses set up camp. Though belonging to no house, Hale Oak stands tall as their sword and shield. Even now, he stands and observes a group of dragons as they fly and roar overhead, making their way from their nests to feed and explore.

Hale is a pale Hellsguard Roegadyn with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. Eyes which now watch the sky with a distant look of concern. Someone is speaking, though their words do not reach him, until he is pulled from his thoughts by a loud exclamation. "Hale!"

Hale is pulled back into the moment by Krieg's voice. Krieg is a brown Hyur with brown hair and amber eyes. He's dressed in lighter attire, compared to Hale's bulky armor. Hale: Hm? Sorry... what were y'sayin'? Krieg stands in front of him with a journal and quill in hand, smiling up at the older man, though his brows furrow ever so slightly. Krieg: I was saying your predictions are amazingly accurate. Even with the weather colder than usual this time of year, they're still moving out of their nests.

Krieg turns his attention back to the sky, taking in the sight of the dragons moving. Krieg: You mentioned before how your astrologians track them, and having your own personal record of behavior patterns... but to see it align like this... Hale is no longer regarding the sight of the dragons overhead, instead looking towards the shield healer with a softened expression. Hale: Yeah... Krieg: If camp preparations go smoothly, we'll be more than ready by dawn when they begin circling the area.

Krieg is laughing as he tries to press a hand to Hale's chest. Krieg: H-Hey! Be careful with your knees, Hale! Hale: Sorry, Darlin'. Y'know I can't help m'self when y'indulge. Krieg: Old fool...

Hale begins to push Krieg's pant leg up as he leaves a trail of kisses. Hale: Have I mentioned how much I love yer legs? Krieg: You may have mentioned it before... and how you're trying to roll my pant leg all the way up gives you away, my dear. Hale: Ha... Y'think ya can go ahead and actually take these off for me? Krieg: Take them off... and keep the heels on? I'd have to take the heels off, then the pants, then put the heels back on- Hale: Please? Krieg: ...How can I say no...

I may be old but we ain't in the'thicket no more. Krieg: You love to tempt fate at every chance, I swear... Ah... I'm certainly feeling all that sitting in my lower back... Hale's expression suddenly shifts to mild shock, a blush crossing his face at whatever he is seeing.

They are sitting together in a grassy field with sparse flowers, finding themselves comfortable and chatting under a tree in the shade. Hale's battle Chocobo is sleeping peacefully in the distance. Far away, Ishgard can be seen beyond where the field's cliff ends, snowy mountains residing even further beyond. In the quiet of the field, they find themselves sitting a little closer, leaning into one another.

Krieg's first impression of Hale was fairly neutral/pos, and mainly showcased his own young and naive view of the world.

He was impressed by the way Hale held his own in the battle where they met, especially his ability to move so quickly with a shield almost as large as Krieg himself-

The camera zooms out to show the empty table Hale is sat at. Other cups left behind from those who had sat there earlier. Hale returns to his writing as Krieg takes the words in. Krieg: Ah, I see...
