Drez goes 🤘😝 while wearing a horned and bearded crochet hat mask with ribbon tassels hung between the horns, a long tie shaped tongue, wire mustache, and shell bead teeth. Traditional Kurent masks are much hairier with strung beans for teeth, straw mustaches, feathers, and flowers. They're part of a big fluffy outfit with large bells at the waist that scare away winter with their dances. Kurentovanje, a Slovenian festival, is actually a more modern tradition from around the 70s inspired by older seasonal traditions.
