Plenty of ambitious plans in @LabourDefra env policy paper launched yesterday at #Lab2018 (60% low-carbon energy within 12 years, 4m homes insulated to EPC C in first term...) but surprised there is no mention of union-backed Million Climate Jobs campaign....

My train pulls into #Liverpool for the #Lab2018 Labour Conference and the 1st things I see are a chap wielding a paper maché war hammer, a leprechaun declaiming the end of the world, someone jumping through a ring of knives and one dressed as Optimus Prime. Well, it's different.
