Ozon's adaptation of Camus's The Stranger: really enjoyed Ozon's take on Mersault, felt like a reinvigorated approach to the philosophical perspective with a highly aesthetic cinematic style. Puzzled why some folks are referring to the subject as existentialism...absurdists, the lot of them! #LFF25

Saw Frankenstein at the London Film Festival some interesting changes in the plot versus the novel. Definitely making the scientist much more the villain of the piece. Felt slightly too long, but yet the ending felt rushed. The tower scenes looked like Wicked #LFF25
A title card for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein from The Watershed
#Hooptober bonus watch #7, Guillermo del Toro’s FRANKENSTEIN!
Got a preview screening thanks to #lff25 and I’m sure this will be an epic highlight. Del Toro does live his monsters with humanity, so this should be perfect for him.

The title card for Bugonia (2025) at The Watershed, Bristol
#nowwatching my #hooptober bonus film #5, Bugonia!
A sneaky addition thanks to #lff25 and @wshed.bsky.social also the second new release this year where Emma Stone gets her life upended by our conspiracy loving world.
LFF day 2. Screening of "Ballad of a Small Player" with Kristy Matheson on stage with director, two producers, Tilda Swinton, Fala Chen, and Colin Farrell before the start of the film.
LFF day 2. Screening of "Ballad of a Small Player" with Kristy Matheson on stage with director, two producers, Tilda Swinton, Fala Chen, and Colin Farrell before the start of the film. Colin Farrell is making a joke that his imagination couldn't come up with someone as ethereal as Tilda Swinton.
LFF 2025 festival director Kristy Matheson on stage to announce the Surprise Film.
Kristy Matheson on stage with director of the surprise film, "Tuner" (2025), known for his documentary film "Navalny", crew members, and the film's star Leo Woodall. Giving a brief Q&A before the screening begins.
And with that brings to a close day 2 of #LFF #LFF25 #LFF2025. Can't wait for the fun to continue tomorrow with Human Resource, Jay Kelly, and Bugonia!
Back to back morning of films. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, my mouth has gone dry from a continual jaw on the floor. Having a great day! #LFF25

Officially that time of the year where we regret the life choices that led us to be stood on a train platform at 6am. But… the pay off is getting back to the things we love. Cinema. #LFF25
Woohoo! Just managed to get tickets to see five films at the London Film Festival. Sadly, the 6th that we wanted to see is sold out across all three showings already (tickets went on sale to the general public one hour ago…)
