Like the rest of the country, Black people helped build #Miami. Last night, I joined my #LM46Fall colleagues to celebrate those contributions.
As the first Black executive director in @fji-law.bsky.social's history, I'm proud to do my part to create a more vibrant community for everyone to thrive.
Pat Morris graciously offered to help me get reacquainted with #Miami upon my return to lead @fji-law.bsky.social.
Yesterday, I joined my #LM46Fall colleagues and other leaders to recognize Pat as a community champion during the #DND2025 celebration.
• Raised $56,766.09 in cash and in-kind contributions for foster kids at His House Children's Home with Lead Miami 2Gether and graduated from #LM46Fall;
Within 100 days, we collectively raised $104,665.30 in cash + $81,834.12 in in-kind donations with a total of 5,196.5 volunteer hours among each team. This isn't just an illustration of impact; it's a showcase of the power of community.
Thank you, #LM46Fall, for my reintroduction to the #MagicCity.
So, what did Lead Miami 2Gether accomplish for His House Children's Home in the end? $28,836.28 raised + $27,929.81 in in-kind contributions to make our Leadership Miami project a reality.

I'm also grateful for my experience with #LM46Fall. Over the weekend, #LeadMiami2Gether unveiled its project with a ribbon cutting at #HisHouse.
From now on, the kids will use "Unity Grounds Park" to help them thrive. Proud of everyone who played a role in making this possible for #Miami youth!
