Earlier this month, we were in Gelderland for #LREForum2026, across Arnhem, Nijmegen, museums and sites, with conversations continuing beyond each event.
We’ve put together a short look back at the Forum and the moments that shaped it 👇 www.lre-foundation.org/lre-forum-20...
#LREForum2026
The #LREForum2026 closed today with site visits across Gelderland. With members and partners we explored key WWII locations, from museum insights to the Ginkelse Heide drop zone of Operation Market Garden. Walking these places together was a meaningful way to end four intense, inspiring days.
Rain didn’t stop today’s #LREForum2026 site visits across Gelderland. From the Freedom Museum and Canadian War Cemetery to Landgoed Schoonderlogt, the day ended with the Sunset March in Nijmegen, just as the rain eased and the sunset appeared.
LREXPO 2026 at Musis Arnhem has wrapped up! Museums, memorial sites, cities and travel professionals from across Europe connected and explored partnerships. Next: site visits to Groesbeek and Elst, ending with the Sunset March at Oversteek. A day of inspiration for the LRE network.
#LREForum2026
While the #LREForum2026 is taking place, part of our team is accompanying an international group of tour operators on a FAM Trip across Gelderland!
From Arnhem to Nijmegen, exploring key WWII sites linked to the Battle of Arnhem, Operation Market Garden and Operation Veritable.
Last night #LREForum2026 ended on a high note with the Gala Dinner at Eusebius Church in Arnhem 🥂 After a day of discussions, members gathered to celebrate, welcome new LREF members, and hear a heartfelt keynote by our Honorary Chairman Juriaan de Mol.
Today, the Forum continues with #LREXPO!
At #LREForum2026 we opened the conference “Beyond the 80th Anniversary: The Future of WWII Remembrance.” With fewer eyewitnesses and rising distortion, how do we carry memory forward? Youth Forum representatives shared insights from last week’s “Future of Remembrance” forum in Nijmegen.
Great start to the day at the #LREForum2026 with our LRE Member Seminar at the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum, Arnhem. Inspiring projects shared from across Europe - from Jersey to Vis, the Atlantik Wall to France. Thanks to all speakers!
Now the LRE Conference begins.
A great start to #LREForum2026 in Nijmegen. From the Discover Nijmegen City Walk to the opening of the Art of Remembrance exhibition - featuring works by Rebekka Bauer, Raphaël Dallaporta, Juhana Moisander & Gail Ritchie - powerful reflections on WWII memory. Next stop: Arnhem tomorrow
