Two paintings on a single page, divided in two horizontally. This represents the very first pale wash of colour. The top painting has a contour line, the bottom does not. there are differences in the huts of the various colors used, as i'm trying to work out which ones work best.
This is the same page, with some darker values places in representing the middle tones of the painting. I'm still not really happy with the results today, but i'm getting closer to what i want.
