Lehigh Valley Electricity Customers Face Higher Costs Starting December 1st
Starting December 1st, Lehigh Valley electricity customers can expect higher costs as PPL Electric Utilities and Met-Ed increase their Price to Compare rates, resulting in a 3.7% rise for PPL's residential rate and an 8.9% jump for Met-Ed. The increases are attributed to increased electricity demand due to growing data centers and electric vehicles, as well as rising natural gas prices, which will lead to higher bills for households using up to 1,000 kWh monthly by approximately $4.63 with PPL and $10.62 with Met-Ed.
