Lena sharpens her blades with magic but polishes her crystals and focus by hand. she's not a blacksmith, so if something breaks, she's not the one to repair it. she is a weaver and something of a leatherworker though, so she's able to make repairs to clothing and light armor.

Lena can read Gaius' closed-off nature like a book (which is a funny comparison because she is actually very bad at reading books, but bear with me) and Lena herself is very open with her emotions, so it's easy for Gaius - or really, anyone - to understand how she's feeling.

Lena's incredible power and lengthy lifespan keep her alive for hundreds of years. Gaius is empowered by her vitality through the reaper bond between them and Carmilla. so he lives WAY longer than he's supposed to - as long as Lena does. when she finally dies, he immediately becomes dust.
