Really cool in-depth insight to synaesthesia, and aphantasia…and its links to those neurodivergent! 👁️🧠

Ah, #Aphantasia now on #LifeScientific. I understand this bit! I'm usually a four, I'm a five for most people's faces, but sometimes I can be a three if it's my own house or front door.
This part of #LifeScientific ain't gonna mean shit if you, like me, think it's ridiculous that anyone could assign a colour to a number or letter.
#Astronomers infer #DarkMatter (like #CatherineHeymans) by #studying how #photons have been affected on their journey. They do this with the slightly deflected...cos they have info about its origin. #BBC #LifeScientific #Science

Hello- just listening to the brilliant #LifeScientific and taken with the whole #superposition and quantum mechanics - worked with a scientist on trying to understand this - um.... you're right its pretty tricky! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhEZ...
Honoured (though a little surprised) to be last lab coat up in the current series of #LifeScientific. Lovely to chat with @jimalkhalili.bsky.social for this. Tune in tomorrow Radio 4 9am. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
Machine learning expert on #LifeScientific touches momentarily on #scienceforgoodnotevil -

On the #BBC R4 #LifeScientific today Jim Al-Khalili said the difference between science and politics is that in science changing your mind is a good thing but in politics it's seen as a weakness. Does anyone else think this might be one of the things that's wrong with the world?
Great to bump into @jimalkhalili.bsky.social last night at the @BBC's glittering science showcase and he has Tony Fauci on his next #LifeScientific - should be fascinating www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m... Even more Tony Fauci here www.youtube.com/watch?v=eadC...
@ellygriffiths.bsky.social Do you know Jacqueline McKinley? Talking to @jimalkhalili.bsky.social on #LifeScientific today
Well this follows on nicely… I have been catching up on my podcast listening. I really enjoyed this episode from the Autumn: Paul Murdin’s interview about
#astronomy and his #lifescientific podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/t...
#JudithBunbury is on @BBCRadio4 #LifeScientific right now.
Great to hear @FryRsquared with @jimalkhalili om @BBCRadio4 #LifeScientific learning the fallibility of maths in human affairs.
#R4 #LifeScientific "How Martin Sweeting made a satellite on his kitchen table": nice vignettes of how luck, culture, timing, money, passion, power, influence & creativity are as much a part of the scientific process as any 'creative' (or other) endeavour.
Although bit disappointed by what I (only partially) saw of the (Covid restriction limiting) 2020 #RoyalInstitution #ChristmasLectures, #JimAlKhalili's #BBCR4 #LifeScientific interview with geologist & presenter #ChrisJackson well worth the short listen:
Must-listen at 9am UK, on the teenage brain - @bbcradio4's #LifeScientific with @sjblakemore: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05mrn29
