⚡ An Electrifying Midnight Storm at Lone Island Lake ⚡ While camping on a small remote island at Lone Island Lake, deep in the heart of Manitoba, Canada, we were unexpectedly treated to one of the most powerful lightning shows I’ve ever witnessed. It was around 12:35 AM, and the skies began to pulse with light—flickering nonstop as a thunderstorm rolled in across the dark, open lake. The cloud formations were constantly changing, glowing in eerie shades of purple and blue with every flash. I immediately set up my gear—my trusty Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, mounted with the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens at 24mm. Using a 15-second exposure, ISO 1250, and f/8, I began capturing what felt like nature’s own fireworks show. Every shot lit up with jagged bolts tearing across the sky, dancing in patterns too fast for the naked eye to see. This is just one of many images I captured that night, and it’s a powerful reminder of nature’s untamed energy.
